David Bowie performed at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, on 29 May 1990, as part of the Sound+Vision Tour.
This was the 43rd date of the tour, which began on 4 March in Quebec City, and the second of two consecutive nights at the amphitheatre.
Bowie’s guitarist was Adrian Belew, who was also the musical director. Erdal Kızılçay played bass guitar, Rick Fox was on keyboards, and Michael Hodges was on drums.
Bowie returned to the Shoreline Amphitheatre on 12 October 1995 during the Outside Tour, and for two Bridge School Benefit shows on 19 and 20 October 1996. His final appearance at the venue was on 14 August 2002 during the Heathen Tour.
