Having completed their US tour dates for 1972, David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars travelled from Philadelphia to New York on 3 December.
Producer Ken Scott also flew to America, and over the following week they recorded songs including ‘Drive-In Saturday’ and ‘All The Young Dudes’.
