21 September 1969 saw David Bowie’s 17th live appearance at the Three Tuns pub in Beckenham.
The Sunday nights, known as Growth – the Beckenham Arts Lab, were multimedia events co-organised by Bowie and others. Their opening night had taken place on 4 May 1969.
