Compilations
A great many compilations were released during David Bowie’s lifetime, only some of which received his involvement and endorsement.
Several releases collated Bowie’s pre-‘Space Oddity’ recordings, while others focus on specific periods from Bowie’s subsequent career. The first retrospective to include songs from Blackstar was 2016’s Legacy, which remains a good starting point for new fans. For those wishing to delve a little deeper, the triple-disc Nothing Has Changed contains selections from his debut single ‘Liza Jane’ right up to 2014’s ‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’.
Please note that, while this page contains key and lesser-known releases, it cannot cover every single compilation that has borne Bowie’s name.
