Following the final US date of the Ziggy Stardust Tour, on 13 March 1973 David Bowie saw Bette Midler perform live.
The show was at the Music Center in Los Angeles. Bowie was accompanied by Claudia Lennear, who had helped inspire ‘Lady Grinning Soul’.
