David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at Detroit’s Fisher Theatre on 8 October 1972.

It was the 64th date of the Ziggy Stardust Tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972.

Prior to the show Bowie was reunited with Iggy Pop, who had flown back to his home city from London. Pop brought with him the multitrack tapes of the Raw Power sessions, which Bowie mixed for release in LA later in the month.
