Dance is a compilation of remixes from David Bowie’s Let’s Dance, Tonight, and Never Let Me Down albums, included in the 2018 box set Loving The Alien (1983-1988).

The album was one of the titles exclusive to the box set, along with Never Let Me Down 2018 and Re:Call 4.

A compilation titled Dance was originally to have been released by EMI in 1985. It was to have contained seven tracks from Let’s Dance and Tonight, with additional production and mixing by Paul Sabu and Rusty Garner.

The album idea was scrapped, but not before EMI America had printed some sleeves. The majority were destroyed, but some made their way to collectors. The idea was revived for the 2018 box set, and used the original artwork with a different tracklisting.

The 2018 version of Dance contains remixes that were originally b-sides and 12″ tracks between 1983 and 1987, with the exception of ‘Shining Star (Makin’ My Love)’ (12″ Mix), which was released on the ‘Never Let Me Down’ digital EP in May 2007.
