David Bowie performed at Frankfurt’s Festhalle on 31 January 1996, as part of the Outside Tour.
It was the 53rd date of the tour, which began on 14 September in Hartford, USA.
Bowie’s guitarists were Carlos Alomar and Reeves Gabrels. Mike Garson played piano and keyboards, Gail Ann Dorsey was on bass guitar, and Zack Alford was on drums. Peter Schwartz played synthesizer and was the musical director, and George Simms was on backing vocals and keyboards.
Bowie had previously performed at the Festhalle on 13 April 1976 during the Isolar Tour, 14 May 1978 during the Isolar II Tour, 20 May 1983 for the Serious Moonlight Tour, and 5 April 1990 for the Sound+Vision Tour.
He returned there for a final time on 18 October 2003 for A Reality Tour.
