Rehearsal: Rotterdam Ahoy, Rotterdam

David Bowie rehearsed at the Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on 24 May 1987, ahead of the Glass Spider Tour.

It was last of seven consecutive days of rehearsals at the venue. The tour opened on 30 May 1987 at Rotterdam’s Stadion Feijenoord.

Bowie’s guitarists were Carlos Alomar and Peter Frampton. Erdal Kızılçay played keyboards, trumpet, congas, and violin, and Richard Cottle was on keyboards, saxophone, and tambourine. Carmine Rojas played bass guitar and Alan Childs was on drums and percussion.

Bowie had previously performed at the Rotterdam Ahoy on 13 and 14 May 1976 during the Isolar Tour, and 7, 8, and 9 June 1978 for the Isolar II Tour.

He returned to the venue on 30 March 1990, for the Sound+Vision Tour, 16 July 1996 for the Outside Tour, and 15 October 2003 for A Reality Tour.
