David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on 14 February 1973.
It was the 91st date of the Ziggy Stardust tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972. Bowie played again at Radio City the following night.
In the audience for the show were Salvador Dali and Bette Midler. As a fan invaded the stage during the final song, Bowie fainted and was carried backstage to his dressing room.
Following the show, Bowie was introduced to fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto, who brought five stage outfits as gifts.

Bowie’s Diamond Dogs Tour returned to the Radio City Music Hall for seven nights from 28 October to 3 November 1974.
He performed there again during the Earthling Tour on 15 October 1997, and for a final time on 8 September 2005, for the Condé Nast Fashion Rocks event.
