David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at the Royal Ballrooms in Boscombe, Bournemouth, on 31 August 1972.
This was the 51st date of the Ziggy Stardust tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972. On this occasion the support acts were Gnidrolog and Thin Lizzy.
The venue opened as the Grand Theatre, which later became the Boscombe Hippodrome then the Royal Ballrooms. It was later renamed the O2 Academy.
