David Bowie filmed an appearance on the UK TV show Russell Harty Plus Pop on 17 January 1973.
In addition to being interviewed by Harty, he performed ‘Drive-In Saturday’ with the Spiders From Mars, along with a solo acoustic version of ‘My Death’.
It was filmed at London Weekend Television’s Studio 3 at the South Bank Television Centre in London. Nick Barrett was the producer and Mike Mansfield the director.
The show was broadcast on 20 January. The interview and ‘Drive-In Saturday’ were released on 2002’s Best Of Bowie DVD.
