Live: The Manish Boys, RAF Chicksands, Shefford

Following his audition on 19 July 1964, David Bowie made his live debut with The Manish Boys six days later.

The show took place at the leisure centre at the RAF Chicksands Air Base in Shefford, Bedfordshire. From 1950 to 1995 the site was subleased to the US Air Force, after which it was handed back to the British armed forces.

The Manish Boys are Davie Jones on vocals and saxophone, Johnny Flux on lead guitar, Paul Rodriguez on guitar, tenor saxophone and trumpet, Woolf Byrne on Baritone saxophone and harmonica, Johnny Watson on bass guitar and vocals, Bob Solly on keyboards, and Mick White on drums.
